Luckbarrow - 4 Bedroom Country House conversion from bungalow

My wife and I bought the original 1970's bungalow having identified the extension potential of the large, un-used roof-space combined with the magnificent views and decent sized plot.

In laterally extending the house we needed to break up the linear appearance so the kitchen and dining space are contained within the single storey west extension with its ceiling open to the roof apex. This gave us the opportunity to create a long open-plan living space to which we applied large windows and bi-fold apertures benefitting from the magnificent views over Exmoor and the sea.

We located two good sized bedrooms and bathrooms and a study area into the former attic space, with the master bedroom having its frameless glass balcony suspended from a new gable to further break the horizontality of the rear elevation.
